With the Offensive line starting to take shape, and the 2002 NFL
Draft's top ranked Running Back signed and sealed as a Cleveland Brown, this
season may be the best we have ever seen since the 1964 NFL Championship win. A
win over the heavily favored Baltimore Costs.
Many Browns fans have
been living on the fading fumes of that great 27 - 0 win or the near misses of
the 80's, or of visions of the greatest RB in pro football history, Jim Brown.
This season it is VERY possible the Browns of Cleveland will take it to the
next level, the Playoffs! And William Green - he goes by Will - will be the man
that makes the difference.
This past week in Salinas I met a student
athlete from Boston College that knows Will Green: One word from this kid about
Green: Massive Strength! He said Green is an incredibly strong person, fast and
good hands. Watch the excitement this year build as we see if Will gets the
chance.
Even Jim Brown needed the great John Wooton, Gene Hickerson and
company to open the holes. Our 2002 version: OG Tre Johnson says he is ready to
blow open holes for Will and that the line with a healthy Tre, Ross Verba,
newcomer Ryan Tucker from the Rams, Shaun O'Hara, and center Dave Wohlabaugh
are all excited about running the ball.
